This new punching machine has been designed to improve productivity with higher speeds, give more flexibility and reduce by up to 50% energy costs in high quality high volume sheet metal fabrication especially in metal furniture and white goods applications.
The main feature of this machine is that only the tools move, which enables a higher punching rate and less energy. The 2 x 20 tons servo electric punching power is transferred to the ram through a knuckle system for a softer punching action and programmable stroke.
This all electric punching machine, which is controlled by a Dimeco SIMOSTAR NC control managing up to 11 programmable servo axis, features x and y positioning axis, 200Kn high speed press drive systems with programmable bottom and upper dead points, 52 standard cartridge tools selection system fitted in 4 exchangeable cassettes, which if required can be replaced by Auto-index or Multi-tool programmable rotating dies.
It is designed for coil strip up to 34” wide using one side tool holder and up to 68” using 2 sides tool holders facing each other.
Options include a punching tonnage monitoring including automatic toll brake control and tool lubrication with oil injection through the top of the tool using programmed oil quantities.

A brand new range of Micropro® 11-roll straightener-feeders offering a wider working range in strip sizes and material grades from Dimeco Alipresse is now available through Shear-Form Machine Tools Ltd, the Coventry based sheet metal and plate working machinery supplier and sole UK representative for Dimeco Alipresse
Using the latest 3D design and finite element modelling systems, the Micropro® 1690NG range of 6 versions, has been developed to give fabricators the ability to use a wider range of strip sizes from 300mm – 1,500mm wide with a working thickness down to 0,9mm from 1mm found in earlier models, whilst the maximum working thickness is 8mm. The straightening quality is improved by using 7 x small 90mm diameter motorised straightening/feeder rolls and 4 x 90mm pinch rolls with 10mm roll adjustment stroke, double that in previous straightener-feeders. All the rolls are case hardened (60Rck) and ground for a longer life. The maximum operating speed is 30m/min
This straightener-feeder can be operated through either pneumatic cylinders or servomotors for a more accurate release timing adjustment. Standard SIMOSTAR® and OPTIMASTER® controls can be retrofitted to the Micropro® 1690NG straightener-feeder.
Using 3 or 5 back up rolls in the wider models, the workable material range is expanded by up to 76% for 1,300mm wide strip and by 20% for 800mm wide strip, whilst lubricated bearings offer the user reduced maintenance.
This new straightener-feeder also has a new patented cost efficient pinch release system, giving an integral 3mm lift of all the rolls through 2 pneumatic jacks.

A NEW Dimeco ECODRIVE-2 roll feeder has been launched by Shear-Form Machine Tools Ltd, the Coventry based sheet metal and plate working machinery supplier’s and Dimeco Alipresse’s sole UK representative.
The low cost ECODRIVE-2 is part of Dimeco’s new servo drive package for roll feeders and is specially designed for companies wishing to automate existing press equipment and wanting the advantages of a servo-roll feeder for the cost of an air feed drive.
ECODRIVE-2 roll feeders are able to operate at maximum 300spm for coil strips ranging from 0,1mm – 6mm thick and in widths up to 1,020mm wide.
Features of this new roll feeder include 0-99999.99mm feed length, 1-100% (maximum 100m/min) speed, 1-100% (maximum 25m/s2) acceleration pitch micro- adjustment in 0,01mm increments, an 8 line monochrome terminal provides easy access to the press feeding parameters and straightforward programming through intuitive menus.
The ECODRIVE-2 mechanical head is robust in construction having a solid cast iron housing fitted with 2 sand blasted, HCR60 hard chromed steel rolls. The AC brushless servomotor has a maximum speed of 100m/min with the drive through the exist roll using a precision gear box. The top roll is fitted in an articulated cradle with pneumatic pressure and the clamping force is adjustable using an air regulator.
Other features include back up of machine parameters using a MMC memory card, automatic single stroke or continuous operation, priority feeder or priority press selection plus manual jog programmed feed length.
